Air Freight
Freight calculation usually takes the larger value between the actual weight and the volumetric weight as the chargeable weight.
1. Actual Weight
Definition: The actual physical weight of the cargo, measured directly using weighing equipment (such as a floor scale or a platform scale).
Unit: In international air transport, kilograms (kg) are commonly used as the unit, and in some cases, pounds (lb) may be used.
2. Volumetric Weight
Definition: A "virtual weight" generated due to the space the cargo occupies in the air cargo hold, reflecting the cost of occupying cargo capacity based on the volume of the goods.
